Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Phlebotomist to join our team, specializing in home collection services and organizing health camps. The ideal candidate should have a certification in DMLT (Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology), be comfortable with travel, and possess a two-wheeler for transportation. This role offers a competitive salary with additional incentives for each home collection visit.Key Responsibilities:
1. Home Sample Collection:
- - Visit patients at their homes to collect blood and other samples for laboratory testing.
- - Ensure proper identification, labelling, and handling of samples to maintain integrity and accuracy.
- - Follow strict protocols for infection control and patient safety during sample collection.
2. Camp Organization & Support:
- - Assist in organizing and conducting health camps at various locations, including setting up equipment and preparing sample collection stations.
- - Collect samples from participants at health camps, ensuring smooth operations and timely processing of samples.
- - Provide information and assistance to camp attendees regarding the sample collection process.
3. Patient Interaction & Care:
- - Provide a friendly and professional service to patients, addressing any concerns or questions they may have.
- - Ensure patient comfort and confidentiality during sample collection.
- - Educate patients about the procedures and follow-up requirements, if necessary.
4. Travel & Transportation:
- - Travel to various locations, including patients' homes and health camp sites, using a two-wheeler.
- - Maintain and manage all necessary equipment and supplies required for home collections and camps.
5. Documentation & Reporting:
- - Accurately document all collected samples, including patient details, type of test required, and any special instructions.
- - Ensure timely submission of collected samples to the laboratory for processing.
- - Report any issues or incidents encountered during home visits or camps to the supervisor.
6. Compliance & Quality Control:
- - Adhere to all relevant healthcare regulations, standards, and guidelines in sample collection and handling.
- - Participate in regular training and updates on best practices in phlebotomy and patient care.
Qualifications:
- - Certification in DMLT (Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology) is required.
- - Experience in phlebotomy, especially in home collection and camp settings, is preferred.
- - Male candidates with a valid driver’s license and access to a bike/two-wheeler for travel are required.
- - Strong communication skills and a compassionate approach to patient care.
- - Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and handle multiple tasks.
- - Basic knowledge of healthcare regulations and sample handling procedures.
